From December 19th to 21st, 2023, Bucharest hosted the second transnational meeting of the "BULL...SH!" project, a pivotal event aimed at laying the groundwork for the project's deliverables. This meeting marked an important step in strategic cooperation and training, with sessions designed to provide valuable tools for coaches and promote inclusive sports environments.
Here are the main activities conducted during the meeting:
Training: The Evolutionary Phase of Adolescence
In this session, participants delved into the changes and the transition from childhood to adulthood. Understanding this developmental phase is crucial for effectively managing relational and behavioral dynamics among adolescents.
Training: Punitive Approach vs. BULL...SH! Approach
This training explored two different approaches to behavior management: the traditional punitive approach and the innovative BULL...SH! approach. Participants discussed the pros and cons of each method, aiming to adopt more effective and less confrontational strategies.
Workshop: Inclusive Communication and Feedback
In this workshop, participants learned inclusive communication techniques, essential for creating a welcoming sports environment. They also discussed how to provide constructive feedback that encourages improvement without discouraging athletes.
Workshop: 5 Steps to Setting Up an Inclusive Training Session
The workshop offered a practical five-step guide to designing inclusive training sessions, ensuring that every athlete, regardless of their abilities, feels like an integral part of the group and can actively participate.
Sport Workshop: Training 2.0
This session explored new training methods supported by multimedia tools. Participants examined how digital technologies can be integrated into training programs to enhance the effectiveness and interactivity of sessions.
Sport Workshop: Green Training
The final workshop focused on best practices for green training sessions. Coaches discussed how to make training sessions more sustainable, reducing environmental impact and promoting eco-friendly behaviors among athletes.
This second transnational meeting marked another significant step forward for the "BULL...SH!" project, solidifying the knowledge and strategies needed to combat bullying through sports.
