Project

Main Objective:

Provide tools to sports associations and their coaches to counter bullying in team sports by promoting the application method: "BULL...SSH!".

Specific Goals:

  • Promote knowledge of the phenomenon of bullying and the psychological dynamics connected to it.

  • Stimulate awareness of the role of sports, sports associations, and coaches in social inclusion and promoting good practices to create healthy and non-discriminatory environments.

  • Provide tools necessary to improve coaches' skills in managing groups of adolescents.

The "BULL...SSH!" provides for the development of material aimed at:

  • Raise the awareness of instructors, operators, managerial figures and students;

  • Create a framework for responding to bullying;

  • Develop rules of conduct with students against bullying that act as a “shared contract between students, instructors and parents".

  • Develop exercises and learning activities that encourage teamwork in contrast to social isolation;

  • Development of a package of tools reserved for instructors useful for improving their skills in the field of the group management and resolution of negative dynamics: creating activities that teach problem-solving, conflict resolution, team management and feedback skills, role-playing or other activities to help students understand the effects and consequences of violent behaviour.
